OPI 'Black Cherry Chutney'

So this is the polish that I wrote a letter to OPI about that got me these babies.  And in my letter I had complained about this nail polish for two reason:

1. When I first used it, it had so many bubbles.  It was nasty. 
2. In the bottle (see below), it had this really pretty bright fuchsia and orange-gold shimmer.  It just barely has a dark red shimmer  D:<

So I can solve the bubbles problem by waiting a really long time in between coats, but the shimmer problem makes me not like it.  Because in the bottle it's really original and on the nail I know I have 3 other dupes for it.

Nicole by OPI Tinsel Tips Mini Set Swatches

So in my Christmas stocking I had this set of three mini Nicole by OPIs.  It includes 'Spark My Mistletoe', 'Stuck in the Chimney' and 'Kiss Me at Midnight' and little sticker rhinestones.

• So the first one 'Spark My Mistletoe' is a micro red glitter with little holo glitter in a clear base.  And click on the picture and make it big because the red glitter is little rectangles and and hexagons, and the holo is hexagon and really small circles.
• 'Stuck in the Chimney' is this red-berry color with a really pretty gold shimmer.  The formula is good, it was just the mini sized brush made application hard.
• 'Kiss Me at Midnight' is a dark red-brown with a really pretty ruby shimmer.  Great formula, although I'm pretty sure I have a couple dupes.

Nicole by OPI Tinsel Tips Mini Set Swatches

ALDO 'Twilight Rendez-Vous'

I really like this color.  This is one of the five ALDO Nail Lacquer.  This is 3 slightly-easy coats.  By slightly-easy, I mean that the brush was JACKED UP!  It was angled.  like not straight across on the top!  WHAT ON EARTH!?!?!  Normally this is what my right hand looks like (slightly more messy), and my left hand is all cleaned up.  But other than that, I like this color :D!  (oh yeah and a top coat)

Day 9: Rainbow Nails

Well Mimi was supposed to put up to extrmely simple post this weekend but she didn't.  So I'm angry.   GRR!  Well to day was rainbow nails and I saw Rainbow Nail Art and Holo Rainbow, but i don't have anything fancy like that.  I don't even have Red, Orange, and Yellow glitter polishes.  Blogging really shows the gaps in my collection :(.  So I did rainbow skittles on each hand.

UP CLOSE:

Blue: Ulta 'Blue Streak'

Green: Sinful Colors 'Innocent'

Yellow: AVON 'Sunshine'

Orange: Orly 'Sol Cabana'

Red: ALDO NAIL LACQUER 'Pampered Patent'

And I did the rainbow reverse on the other hand so that when you go like that they make a DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!

This is such a basic mani but I like it.  Tomorrow Gradient Nails and I'll post the Day 7 & 8 posts.  That's what's make this lack of post even more of a fail because I had all the pics for one of the post set up for one of them and it's not like I was asking for a essay or anything!!

We're doing the 31 Day Challenge & Sally Hansen 'Dazzling'

Ok so there's this thing going around called the 31 day Challenge for nail bloggers to do.  A couple of the bloggers I follow have been doing this (Chalkboard Nails, and Rebecca likes Nails) and I had wanted to do it but was to scared our nail art skillz would suck.  But oh well here it is:

No one really knows where this originated from but there a smart people because I really like this idea.

So the first day was red nails and I was going to do a swatching series of the LAQUER SHINES:

And I present to you 'Dazzling'!

This is a deep red with a pretty intense shimmer.  And the lodgical non-nail polish lover in me says that it's a dupe for 'An Affair in Red Square'.  But the polish-crazy in me knows that it's not.  It just isn't.  This is a pretty color but I'm still buying 'Red Square' online.  AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME!! *crazy laugh*

OPI 'Affair in Red Square'

I love this! I borrowed this from my friend Jolee.  I normally don't like reds but this one stood out.  Well, OHMIGOSH!  This nail polish is in my Top 5.  I actually ordered 2 bottles of this for myself!  Onto the pictures!!

These pictures do not do it justice.  When I Googled swatch pics for this I couldn't find any that did.  None of them looked remotely like what this polish does.   It looks like metal.  I know that sounds weird but it does.  In some lights it's dark read and sometimes it's more of a bright red.  I can only see shimmer in the sunlight.

Well this picture is weird looking but it's still cool so I included it.

The middle & ring fingers  look the most like what the color really looks like.  The formula was amazing  (as most OPI's are). I used two coats.  Although on my toes (before I added a few drops of thinner) it was only two coats, but slightly too thick to work with.

When I was outside taking pictures I saw these two stone bulldogs.  WHY DO WE HAVE THESE?  Who spends money on stuff like this?  I get that my dad likes bulldogs, but this is kinda... weird

Oh well, all in all I think anyone should have this color because it's such a good classic red.  But it's not a classic red because it's also not the usual red.  EEEK! I love this!

OPI 'Affair in Red Square'

I love this! I borrowed this from my friend Jolee.  I normally don't like reds but this one stood out.  Well, OHMIGOSH!  This nail polish is in my Top 5.  I actually ordered 2 bottles of this for myself!  Onto the pictures!!

These pictures do not do it justice.  When I Googled swatch pics for this I couldn't find any that did.  None of them looked remotely like what this polish does.   It looks like metal.  I know that sounds weird but it does.  In some lights it's dark read and sometimes it's more of a bright red.  I can only see shimmer in the sunlight.
