Day 10: Gradient Nails

I've never done a gradient mani.  I'm not really too sure this counts as one but look and see for yourself  it is pretty though.  And this is the last one in the first chunk of the challenge!  here's a reminder:

So for this I used this polishes one coat of everything except 'Nail Junkie'  (I LOVE that name!)

I started out with one coat of 'Brisk Blue' then a coat of 'Love Nails'.  I sponged on 'Glee' on 2/3 of each nail.  Covered the top third in a coat of 'Nail Junkie' and re-sponged on top of that again.

Here's a close up.  There's a lot of gold shimmer and glitter in 'Nail Junkie' and 'Glee'.

This picture shows the truest color but it looks so bad.  See what I mean most gradients look like this.

Day 9: Rainbow Nails

Well Mimi was supposed to put up to extrmely simple post this weekend but she didn't.  So I'm angry.   GRR!  Well to day was rainbow nails and I saw Rainbow Nail Art and Holo Rainbow, but i don't have anything fancy like that.  I don't even have Red, Orange, and Yellow glitter polishes.  Blogging really shows the gaps in my collection :(.  So I did rainbow skittles on each hand.

UP CLOSE:

Blue: Ulta 'Blue Streak'

Green: Sinful Colors 'Innocent'

Yellow: AVON 'Sunshine'

Orange: Orly 'Sol Cabana'

Red: ALDO NAIL LACQUER 'Pampered Patent'

And I did the rainbow reverse on the other hand so that when you go like that they make a DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!

This is such a basic mani but I like it.  Tomorrow Gradient Nails and I'll post the Day 7 & 8 posts.  That's what's make this lack of post even more of a fail because I had all the pics for one of the post set up for one of them and it's not like I was asking for a essay or anything!!

Day 6: Violet Nails

Why don't they just say purple?  I never understood the purpose of the word 'violet'.  Any ways I have a ba-jillion untried purple nail polishes.  But I decided to be a butt and not use them.  I started out with *4* horrible coats of L.A. Colors 'Nuclear Energy'.  I have 20 LA Colors and that's because Mimi had a spa birthday and everyone got a mani and a bottle of polish.  I got all of the left over polish.   Unfourtunatly, there colors are so sheer (the shimmers are the worst).  There cremes are all jellys, and it takes at least two coats of glitter to get 'sparse glitter'.  Here's my swatch:

Sorry for the messy-ness, butt any more than two coats and I stop caring.   This is a weird color.  It went anywhere from a grey plum to a deep purple to the color you see here.  Well I honestly should've stopped there but I didn't.  I added Sinful Colors 'Dream On'.  That color dries matte but in some lights it's an AMAZING deep purle, or a darker magenta.  It's weird.  I did a Half n' half tape man and it was... well... awkward...

 Here's an angle.  I did 'Dream On' on the other side on the middle finger.

I don't like this manicure.  It makes me sad.  Oh well!  Probably going polish shopping this weekend!  Oh yeah BTW I'm going out of town so my ability to keep the challenge up is with Mimi.

Omg I'm not having to do some lane and depressing proof post!!!! Ok so I had a but load of blue untried polish so I decided to do a water marble and swatch two polishes in one post. Actually I think the saying has something to do with birds and homicide. Oh well. On a side note as I type this I'm watching CRIMINAL MINDS. I LOVE THAT SHOW!! "you may leave school but it may never leave you". Sry it's a quote from the show (did you see the end with Morgan's iPod?). 

On to my water marble I used so many colors. Four Sinfuls, a Sally Hansen and a Jessies Girl. And I used them on different nails like on my ring finger I only used two but on some I used all eight.

Day 4: Green Nails

Okay so I need you people to know that I am doing the 31 Day challenge.  But since I can't use the stupid NIKON isn't working (WHY IS IT BROKEN?!?!?).  So I just want you people to know (actually at this point not sure how many people is 'you people') that I am doing this challenge.  EVERYDAY.  And the only thing is that my dad's finishing some really big thing at work and so he's ben getting home later this week.  So of course when he does get home if I have time to swatch then I don't have time to get on here and blog 'n stuff.   Oh well...   OK I'm done ranting.

Here's the picture this is Sinful Colors 'Innocent':

Of course the color came out weird.  Way too not yellow.  It's more of a yellow-green.  Also I know that this post is going up on October 12th but I took this picture and did the first part of this post on the 11th.   Here are the good pictures from later that night

I added this picture in because it goes from the green on the top to yellow on the bottom.   

But the actual color itself I LOVE  it took 3 coats so it was a little bit sheer but this is a really great color.
