1. Paint - once a month.
I used to paint a lot, like on a regualr basis. My paints were never put away because I always had something else already sketched out and waiting to be painted next.
2. Get more crafty - make a doll.
In high school I took all the art related classes, one of them was sort of like a craft course. The main assignment was to make our own stuffed doll/animal. I remember having so much fun making my clown doll. And every year I always say 'I'll make another this year'. But this is the year. I already have most of the supplies and I know where to get the rest.
3. Sew - try embroidery.
I like sewing, but not when I'm sewing a hole in a sock! Real sewing. I've always been very interested in embroidery. Over the holidays I found some very small embroidery hoops on sale. I'm gonna start out small.
4. Visit the Zoo
I love visiting the Zoo. It's a bit of a long ride though and visiting the Zoo takes all day for me. But Im hoping to visiting the Zoo this year at least twice. I also want to visit African Lion Safari, there's one in my hometown so next time I visit Im gonna try to sneak off.
5. Sign up for Fan Expo 2012.
We went to Fan Expo last year and had such a great time. We plan on going again, but this time we'll have a better display. I also want to ake and order some button and stickers for the expo. Maybe sell some paintings too? I was also thinking about trying to get into some other expo's or craft shows this year.
6. Update my Camera.
I've had my current Pentax *istd for about 5 (going on 6) years now. I think it's time for an update. I'm looking at the K-R or K-5. I'm sticking with the brand because I like it (my family is a pentax family, we've always had pentax or olympus cameras.) and I have a lot of the lenses and accessories anyways.
7. Sell online.
I already do sell my artwork online, but i'm talking about prints, original drawings and paintings. I'm hoping this will be the year I finally put something(s) in my etsy shop.
8. Be healthier.
By this, I mean I'm going to try to stop eating so late. (which is hard since I get home around 7pm.) Eat smaller amounts. Try to eat more veggies. Drink more water, because while I'm at work I don't realize how thirsty I am until I go on break. This also includes flossing. I've always been told that I need to floss. Some people can get away with not flossing and they're fine but I'm not other people. I need to floss.
What are your goals for 2012? Did you put up a list of them somewhere?
I went and bought two of those cork boards so we can pin up inspiration and notes to ourselves. Im hoping to turn our dining room (which is a mess) into sort of like a craft/workout room where our second computer can go (so theres more room in the living room) and Justin's weight set can go there too... even though it's so ugly!
